Ryan Bernard, who will help as design director, is known for working as a game director at Ubisoft Massive and gameplay director at IO Interactive.

The position of engineering director will be taken over by Alan Villani, who previously assisted with technical direction on previous Mortal Kombat games. Former Control, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora developer Anna Magill will serve as lead writer on Project Orion. Finally, Alexander Freed will also help with the writing after previously working with studios like DICE, Obsidian Entertainment, and Wizards of the Coast.
